Mosquito Nets for Windows

Also called mosquito screens or insect screens, these barriers let you keep windows open for fresh air without leaving an easy path for mosquitoes.

Why Window Nets Matter

Window mosquito nets let you ventilate your home naturally while stopping insects at the opening. The main decisions are not complicated: choose a mounting style that fits the window, measure carefully, and use screening designed for the opening rather than loose hanging netting.

Which Window Screen Type Fits Your Situation?

Screen type Good fit when... Watch for...
Magnetic You want a removable, renter-friendly option with simple installation. Adhesive surfaces and edge sealing need to stay secure.
Fixed frame You want a durable, long-term screen for a regularly used window. Accurate sizing and frame compatibility matter.
Velcro / hook-and-loop You need a low-cost screen that can be trimmed or removed. The attachment surface must be clean and the perimeter fully sealed.
Retractable You want the screen out of sight when it is not needed. Hardware, clearance, and installation are more involved.

If you are deciding between screen materials as well as mounting styles, see our mosquito-net material guide. For framed window screens, fiberglass and purpose-built polyester screening belong to a different product category from lightweight bed or travel nets.
